The middle of 2026 is officially here, and Antutu’s May benchmark numbers reveal how the silicon landscape continues to evolve. While last month saw plenty of new smartphone releases, not all of them were built for raw power. However, those that were –specifically a brand-new, overclocked RedMagic device — reshaped the high-end Android race.

Top 10 flagship smartphones: A new RedMagic device dominates the field

May marked the debut of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, and it immediately made its presence felt at the top of the premium tier.

In fact, Qualcomm’s presence this month was overwhelming; nine of the top 10 devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or its overclocked variant. The lone exception to this near-total dominance is the iQOO 15T at No. 9, which slipped into the rankings with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 platform.

Claiming first place is the RedMagic 11S Pro Plus. Launching with the overclocked Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 Leading Version, it pushed CPU clock speeds to an aggressive 4.74GHz — up from the standard 4.6GHz. With superior power stability and thermal management that minimizes throttling, it surged ahead to secure an average score of 4,171,821.

Dropping slightly to No. 2 is last month’s champion, the iQOO 15 Ultra. Living up to its “Performance Ultra” moniker rather than being defined solely by its camera, it maximized its standard Gen 5 silicon to post a highly competitive 4,144,802 points.

Rounding out the top three is the vivo X300 Ultra Satellite Communication Edition at 4,103,004 points. Unlike the iQOO, the vivo X300 Ultra leans heavily into camera innovation, proving that extreme benchmark performance can coexist with advanced features like 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording.

Top 10 sub-flagship smartphones: MediaTek’s undisputed territory

In the sub-flagship rankings, MediaTek’s grip on the market shows no signs of loosening. Devices powered by various iterations of the Dimensity 8500 completely locked down the upper tier of the chart.

Holding firm at No. 1 is the iQOO Z11, equipped with the Ultra Edition of the Dimensity 8500, leading with an average score of 2,336,947.

Close behind are two newly released HONOR phones that highlight the brand’s mastery of MediaTek’s silicon: the HONOR 600 Pro, running the Dimensity 8500 Elite at 2,184,653 points, and the HONOR WIN Turbo, also powered by the same Elite chip, at 2,171,547 points. By continually refining its architecture, the Taiwanese chipmaker is leaving competitors with little room to maneuver in this segment.

It’s also worth noting OPPO’s significant presence on this chart, with the brand capturing exactly half of the top 10 spots through its K and Reno Series models.

Top 10 tablets: Large-screen productivity vs. compact gaming beasts

Qualcomm’s influence extends strongly into the tablet market, with eight of the top 10 models powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors. The only exceptions breaking this streak are the REDMI K Pad 2 at No. 7, running on a MediaTek Dimensity 9500, and the H3C MegaBook at No. 8, packed with an Intel Ultra 5 228V chip.

Taking the crown this month is the vivo Pad6 Pro, a large-screen flagship driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which racked up an impressive average score of 4,132,697. Hot on its heels at No. 2 is its sibling, the iQOO Pad6 Pro, with 4,081,031 points — a result that reflects their nearly identical hardware configurations.

The Legion Tablet Y700 Gen 5 takes the third spot with 4,073,338 points. This unit once again proves that compact 8-inch tablets built specifically for extreme gaming and aggressive thermal dissipation can confidently trade blows with the biggest slates on the market.
